A friend of mine recommended a book to read, Free Air by Sinclair Lewis.
While looking for this to see where it was available, I found an incredible site that I want to pass along:
Project Gutenberg
What a find! Here is a snippet from the home page:
Download over 33,000 free ebooks to read on your PC, iPad, Kindle, Nook, Sony Reader, iPhone, iPod Touch, Android or other mobile or cell phone.
We carry high quality books: Our free books were previously published by bona fide publishers and digitized with the help of thousands of volunteers.
No fee or registration is required, but if you find Project Gutenberg useful, we kindly ask you to donate a small amount so we can buy and digitize more books. Other ways to help include digitizing more books, recording audio books, or reporting errors.
Over 100,000 free ebooks are available through our Partners, Affiliates and Resources.
Not only did I find the book I was looking for (downloadable as HTML, ePub, ePub with images, Kindle, Kindle with Images, Plucker) and so on, I even found quite a collection of Audio Books (like Huckleberry Finn and so on).
So if its some good classics you are after, this is one site worth checking out.
