Hi all, just wondering how you all have your adsense ads set up? I was finding that if i put text/image ads the vast majority of the image ads that would appear would be nothing in the slightest to do with my website, so when i changed the text/image ads to purely text ads they were showing alot more relevant ads. Has anyone tried this before and did your click rate go up at all or was there no change?
 
One thing to make notice of...ads are based on searches. Including yours.

For instance...if I had a site for Jelly Beans but recently searched google for Adobe CS6 tutorials then visit my Jelly Bean site, guess what is showing up in the ads? Adobe CS6.

Just be aware that nearly everything you see on your site in terms of returned ads are based on your habits of surfing and searching and may not be a true representation of what others are seeing.
 
Thanks for your reply, yes i did notice that a few days ago actually where i was getting bombarded with Sainsburys ads after browsing their website the day before! But since I've changed it over to text ads only they seem to be alot more relevant to the content now than ever before (to my computer anyway). Hopefully i'll see some more clicks but will have to give it a week or two to see for definite.

Chances are you will see a boost. take a 250x250 ad box. It will display one graphical ad or three textual ads. do the math.
