Another Day, Another Spammer Looking For A Deal

Spamming domainers or those who hold many domains is really nothing all that new, but you might want to be aware of and on the lookout for the latest someone (or a group) out there who spam via a variety of gMail identities.
The subject line is the domain name and the body always reads as follows:

Domain Owner,
I am interested in purchasing this domain name, could you tell me if you are willing to let it go and if so for how much?
Thank you for your time.

So far, they tend to like nice generic single word names, in our case they are going after some .net names we have had in inventory since 1997. Those have always been intended for future platforms or have been used over the years and/or are currently being used in actual internet commerce.

Also, they are clearly clueless, as they have apparently not even gone to visit the domains mentioned in the subject line of their spam.

One instance of a message like the above is probably okay, twice from separate gmail identities is suspect. Three times and you get called a spammer. As a bonus, you also get to be the topic of a DNForum Gold Café post.

Those people spam guys who hold many domains, that's right and they send a bunch of emails at once each from a different address, and each for a different domain. Many are just trying to get you to respond from your primary email address and then you're at risk, and even when it looks legit and the buyer sounds serious you shouldn't use any address you use for domaining to answer unsolicited domain emails.

This is the same wannabe from India spamming for years now using female addresses.

He's using gmail addresses, but the messages actually originate from a hostgator IP, 192.185.4.34
It's the same regardless of the actual name/email address used.
