many people are hesitant to post opinions on names because a lot of names are worth zero, or perhaps many people are afraid of appraissing to high or low a poll eliminates this if it could be done in addition to or in lieu of, remarks section

people lazy to post in appraisals ...also will be lazy to vote in polls

if you want to force them to post you may offer F$ for professional opinions

I am not so sure its laziness, opposed to not wanting to hurt peoples feeling, but you could be right, although many times i withhold my opinion because the names aint worth didly

No please don't, then we get zillions of one-word/phrase appraisal posts just for the sake of getting F$.

I think the use of polls for appraisals is a good idea.

I value the opinion of the members on this board, and I occasionally post a name for appraisal. It is frustrating when you get no response... I would rather have others give me a quick estimate than nothing at all, and if people think it is worth $0 I personally would like to know.

polls might be a good idea, to give F$ for appraisals is not such a grea idea though.....

With all due respect, offering F$ won't get you "professional" opinions.

By the way, poll appraisals only render even less useful feedback. You need to back up your numbers.

personally, i dont care what people appraise my domains at, i have a set figure give or take based on traffic and earnings and what they might be worth. But many names are worth zero and a poll gives a chance to be less personal and wake some newbees up that they are wasting there money.and perhaps motivate them to do some research with overture etc
