Who knows why.
The site is horrible. There must be something behind the scenes.
No way AJ is worth $1b+

yeah IAC made me a very low $xxx, xxx offer for a business I'm developing - they have essentially asked me to keep developing and they will keep my venture on their radar. They are very straight forward when they want somenthing

I personally feel that Ask Jeeves is a great search engine and I am not suprised it sold for that much money.

I used to use aj.com exclusively before I found Google.
Although good, I don't feel they compare to Google.

Ask Jeeves is generally the second search engine I use if I can't find what I am looking for on Google. I have found many things that I wasn't able to find on Google on Ask Jeeves.

hah. wow that's an incredible amount of money.

Do you think that I might squeeze a bit more from them
through a sale of my domain?

interact.net

stupid ".net"

I'm sure that with their influences and power they could
easily develop it into a moneymaking machine.
