Can't figure this out....

Can someone explain to me why for example I type something on this forum say www.dvd2.com and when I do a google search for dvd2.com it almost within minutes crawls and picks this box up but when I go to google and type in my website www.dvd2.com, I don't see it nowhere!!!

Please someone explain this to me....

I see that your site is not indexed by google. Search with the following string to confirm this.

site:www.dvd2.com

I went to your site and noticed that it took about 25 seconds for any content to load. That's along time for someone on a FiOS network.

I took a peek at your code and saw a tremendous amount of nested tables, scripts that run prior to page loads and who knows what's going on server-side.

I would recommend starting with cleaning up the invalid code:

Then head on over to Google's Webmaster Tools to get a report on what problems they're have crawling your site.

At some point you may want to have the site recoded using semantic markup and this will make your site a whole lot easier to maintain and update going forward.

When you use tables for layout you need to optimize them to perform well. Otherwise your content may not display until every last bit of code has downloaded. Specifically you need to define the width and height of all your tables to prevent this delay. A page the size of yours should be able to download on my network within a couple seconds, so there may also be server-side scripts that are delaying the display. This is just one of the many drawbacks in using table layouts.

Without width and height explicitly defined, browsers need to download all your content before they can draw your tables. Adding table widths and heights will allow some of your content to be drawn while the rest continues to download.

The best approach, in my opinion, is to abandon table layout and go with semantic markup and CSS. Most professional coders made that move 5+ years ago.

Yes..well Im actually using AOM software that has alot of things already preprogrammed. So I dont do alot of html. But now when I go to my website it only takes me seconds...But Im also running 10 meg cable...Oof the websites....

Yes, it only takes seconds because the cached page is already downloaded to YOUR browser. A first time visitor however will need to wait awhile. Some may hit the back button thinking your site is broken.
