Definately has potential. It gives credibilty, which is very important for his field if you were a "gun for hire". Hard to say the exact value now off hand. But worth at least $1,000 IMO.

How about a job (part-time, full-time, contract, gig etc) posting site for certified programwers and such?

I wonder what percent of programming gigs state (must be) "certified" programmer....

I think it is worth at least $500 and might entice many individuals sans-development, I mean those folks who took various certification courses in programming like lvinsensius said.
But a job site might fetch sligtly more to you, I think, than the average certified programmer's budget for a moonlighting site.
