The days of successful chat have declined big time, especially regarding more experienced domainers participation (for example, I do not participate). That is because of various reasons I will not go into now.
Many yrs ago forum chats were much more popular vs today, having little if anything to do with how good the website itself was.
I recall it was common to see 100 plus people at old greatdomains.com chat and 60 or more at old afternic.com chat both at the same time numerous evenings, circa year 1999/2000. That was almost 200 in the 2 chat rooms at the same time.
It was so hectic you could not keep up with it all. It faded away when they both closed their chat rooms for unknown reasons and never got popular again and I doubt it ever will again for various reasons.
