Has anyone ever wondered about the country TLD's .cm and .om?

.cm is the tld for Cameroom, and .om is for Oman.

A quick search in overture reveals a 15290 w/ ext for "Google.cm" and a 14378 w/ ext for "Google.om". Likewise, it shows a 12347 w/ ext for "Yahoo.om" and a 11947 w/ ext for "Yahoo.cm". I wonder what would happen if one of these TLD's simply redirected all the errored domains to a single search page, much like Verisign did a while ago? I also wonder if anyone has tried to buy either of these TLD's off the owners yet for this reason? If those guys paid like $150 million for all of ULTSearch's domains, you'd think they might have been better off trying to buy one of these country TLD's instead. I'd imagine the traffic would be huge. Like, huge as in #1 on alexa probably (if they transfered all the hits to a single domain).

Heck, even major typos have ovt w/ ext. I mean, how bad can some people spell? Ex: Yaho.cm (126 w/ ext) and Goggle.om (98 w/ ext)

Also..... I wouldn't mind having the domain name http://c.om

:)
