Hola,
other Afternic forums' orphan here at his 1st post.
Greeting to all forum members and in particular to the friends of the died An chat.

Well:

GAMBLAND.COM

Zero (or almost) type in.
Zero Overture searches.
One (1) Google result. (breaking a perfect average)
.net, .org and anything else available.

Still I like it..... and still I think that the value of a name can not be limited to cold statistics (though very valuable as the above ones).

Thanks for your appraisals and comments,

I can visualise a wise internet casino with a long url changing their name to Gambland.com!

Gambland.com is inviting and exciting. It easy to spell, remember and type.

Gambland.com rolls right off the tongue. It is beautiful. Oh, and did I mention that being only 8 characters long, you could get a toll-free # like 1-800-Gambland so bettors can call in deposits and wagers if they can't get online.!

I can also see a savvy internet casino startup building this beauty from the URL up.

A company could build a great brand @ Gambland.com!

IMHO, Gambland.com is a winner and worth a solid $15,000 USD name to a premium end user SOMEWHERE even in this weak market!

Good job Atillio and Good Luck!

now see if mbland.com is available.. this way you could direct market G@mbland as your company email address.
it's the latest in email marketing..

Thanks Mike, your appraisal has been highly appreciated.
(I will pay you those beer as promised :D )

I have to say that I owned and sold a similar domain more than 1 year ago, it was Winopolis.com, I sold it on Afternic for 2.5 K and I think Gambland.com is better (though the market is surely worse).

Thanks Ms. May for your suggestion but someone got mbland.com few weeks ago (not sure but for $8 I would have considered to have g@mbland.com)

Sorry, can't see the value in this name. There are a million and one casino names out there, and this one doesn't sound special enough to be worth anything....no traffic makes it worthly IMHO as whoever buys it will have to build it up from the groud up.

I'm very surprised you got $2500 for winopolis....did it have traffic or something? Well done on that one.

I purchased a casino name and now realise it was a mistake.... 3dvirtualvegas.com ....i don't think its worth anything. Maybe one for ebay :D

Why don't you guys surf into my thread, and give it a quick appraisel/opinion.

As for Gambland.com, I also like it.
However, how much I like a domain doesn't really reflect how much I think its worth.
I'd say it's worth: ($15 - $30)

But as mentioned, it could go for a lot more to the right person.

thank you very much to all of you for your apparisals and comments.

I have no problems in agree that domains like Gambland.com or Winopolis.com do not have intrinsic value such as domains with many type-in or thousands of links and that it is really difficult to give reliable appraisals for them.

Said that I do not agree with the trend of giving value only to domains with pre-existen traffic, this is way too much simple and the market itself show that it is not true, many domains with no traffic value have been, are and will be sold and most of them for very nice amounts.

So called "creatives" continue making big money on the advertising market and their work is under many aspect very similar to the work of thinking about and then grab a possibly brandable domain name.

Thanks
