Gmail - Using address book

is there anyway to add people from address book to the To: field? seems that gmail missed out this common feature.

it allows autocomplete of the address and works on the name and email address.

just type the first few letters of the names and it will appear in a dropdown list.

yes, how about sending to group of friends, everyone, etc., like Yahoo mail.
