Received an email this morning from a guy who is threatening to sue me because he can enter his companyname.mydomain.com (DNS Wild Card Entry).

I hope Microsoft doesn't come after me too. :D

I responded with a threat to counter-sue him over his use of mycompanyname.hisdomain.com. Hahahaha... I don't think he'll get it though... :D

Never reply to any stranger!

Agree with Johnn. I once received a letter from a supposed lawyer and it had a few typos in it so I didn't take it seriously. They tried to hardball me but I informed them of my claim to the name, they threatened suit, I then told them we can have our lawyers handle this. We negotiated and I settled quickly. Win win. But the guy really owned a multi-million dollar law firm in San Francisco. They switched their name to my old domain. They had a 3 word and switch to the 2 worder I owned. That said, I try to keep it professional even if they are wrong or whatever. Had I been a jerk or rude, I could have lost a sell, spend a whole lot in litigation that I could have easily lost.

I know our situation is a bit different but just done fuel anyone's fire for no reason. :)
