I just bought a domain at one reseller of tucows. I setup an account there, and now the domain is in my account. But I find I can not unlock it, it says "the account locked". And I can not manage domains at https://manage.opensrs.net/. Is there problem with my account?

Inthis condition, can I start a transfer from another reseller of tucows? Can i successfully transfer to another reseller without unlock it?

Thank you!

Depending on how that reseller set it up, you may or may not be able to unlock at the web manage interface. In the case of the latter, you will have to contact them to do the unlocking.

And with locking, even RSP2RSP transfers (between resellers) are not allowed. Hope this helps.

By the way, by "not able to manage", are you saying that you cannot even login at manage.opensrs.net?

There are actually 2 kinds of users at Tucows. If you click on Profile (after login) and are able to "Create/Manage a Sub-User", then you're probably good. But quite a few resellers only allow their customers to be logged in as sub-users, and take away some permissions (e.g. to modify nameservers or even Admin Contact info).

On the other hand, even a full fledge user may NOT be able to unlock their domains, because like I said, that could be configured at the reseller's own control panel.
