Hi, all
I just bought a domain at dn. I've paid, while i can't transfer the domain to my wanted registra. The selled said that he just transferred this domain to the current registra, i couldn't transfer it out within 60days, but it's not a newly registered domain. Is that possible?
He gave me the link to explain: http://manage.resellerclub.com/kb/servlet/KBServlet/faq491.html
By the way, the seller himeself owned the current registra, it's a small one. I opened a account there, the seller push it to my account. But cound't transfer out.
Can anyone help :?:?:?::?:

Thanks in advance
Best regards

You have not mentioned which registrar you want to transfer to.

Anyways if the domain was recently transferred to the current registrar ( must be a reseller under (ResellerClub/Directi ) then you need to wait 60 days (ICANN rules) to transfer it out of ResellerClub/Directi , irrespective of the age of the domain.

However if you have an account under any reseller of Directi/Resellerclub , then the domain can be pushed to that account instantaneously.

Many domainers have their own accounts directly under resellerclub as well as other registrars. This enables to provide for domain reg. services as well as bulk pricing besides the security aspect.

Hope that helps.

Dear Doc

Thanks so much, now i'm quite clear. Yes, exactly just as you said, it's under resellerclub.
Am i supposed to open an account under resellerclub to make a better management of my domain? After 60days, is it free to transfer out?
Thanks a lot! Have a nice day.

Under resellerclub , an account starts in the $200 range , but that money can be used for domain purchases etc. The pricing slabs change accordingly,( the higher your slab,lesser the cost) . If you own a no. of domains and prefer to manage them yourself securely , a reseller account is a good option .It helps in the long run.

In your case , since it's just a single domain i believe , so your present account under the current reseller is good enough . As soon as 60 days are over from the date the domain was transferred to the current registrar , just transfer it again to your preferred registrar.
