I think it would be awesome if DNF cached an original version of the post.

I am tired of people editing their posts and putting whatever they want.

It would work well with the auctions as well. Their is no way right now to know if the terms of the auction change unless you see "edited by" and ask questions.

May be we want to make it like the Legal section - no one can make any change after they click the submit button.

You can put a time limit on the amount of time after the post that you can edit it. I don't think this would be a good idea in sales forums though.

The legal section should have a 10 minute edit timeframe b/c if you hit submit and need to change something, you should have a short period of time to do so.

Like Johnn said - you can take it to legal if you feel that they changed the conditions.

Also feel free to report the posts - we can look at the editing history.

I mean to make the auction sections like the legal section where the sellers or bidders can't make any changes (I don't see why they need to change anything).

I see there is a lot of problems especially on the $1 auctions. I did not know why but it happened a lot.
