But they can only be used for ATT. A teenager from NJ hacked and unlocked the phone so they can be used with other carriers.
He put it up for sale on Ebay.

He was interviewed by CNN today. He said ATT has not contacted him yet and he claimed he did noting illegal!

Apple has signed up three operators for the iPhone in Europe, according to reports in the Financial Times.

T-Mobile is reported to have received the German contract, O2 the UK contract and Orange the French contract.

I saw an article last night that the very first one this kid from Jersey did was up to well over $2,000.00 in a matter of hours.

Not bad money for a 17 year old who will be starting college to study neuroscience so he can "hack the human brain" as he put it.
