I have just obtained the domain www.fragcity.com.

Apparently it used to be a site selling cards, collectibles, etc.

Marketleap gives the following number of links:

Google: 0, MSN: 271, HotBot: 200, Alltheweb: 893, AOL: 233, AltaVista: 61, Total: 1658

There are also 23 web page matches on Yahoo.

As a complete newbie, how can I take advantage of these links? :)

I am in the UK and have a Warner Bros affiliate toy site and two UK High Street affiliate shopping sites.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards

Hi

Good catch - but never develop that domain, use it as a pointer to a new domain instead. This is because it "was" a developed site and you don't want legal problems latter. If you lose it - you just lose the domain, and not the site - ok?

It's also for gameing fans, and those are huge in the search engines. A few links, information - even a forum, and it'll draw a few more.

Most newbes learn with a simple free homepage, this domain will be fun to develop and learn at the same time. It's also a revenue domain - so you will not be wasteing your time.

Set it up fast, even as a free page - so those links do not show up as "dead link" - that really decreases your link count fast.

what's a frag anyway? what they want a city for ;)
