More and more PageRank checking tools.

I remember much time ago, finding a tool, besides Google Toolbar to that checked the page's rank was hard to find.
Recently I "discovered" a place urltrends.com, nice one, which also seems to be checking the PR from their side, i.e. their server's IP.
I know the Pagerank is not available through the Google API, so I wonder, do they have an special agreement/pemission with Google ? Or it is just that Google just does not care about it ?

i found some script a while back, and my website has it, and it checks Google PR as well.
Whois-Lookup.net , it seems to be working fine...(Link POP. section)

I found pagerank checker on somewebsite don't show you correct result.
