How many people here are signed up for the national do-not-call-list, which the politicians put together and supported, and got a call from a politician/endorser before election day?

'Hi this is Martin Sheen...
'Hi this is Arnold....
'Hi this is Former President Bill Clinton...

Did they use the do-not-call-list itself?????

...

Not positive but I believe political calls are exempt. :veryangry

Political calls are, in fact, exempt, as they are considered protected speech.

More realistically, those who write the laws get to write themselves exemptions.

You will also find that bona-fide surveys and charitable solicitations are also exempt.

I recommend a service like "privacy manager" if it's available to you. I got no calls this political season - at least none that made it through to my phone.

I had the Privacy manager for a while but it interferes with incoming faxes, Couldnt find a way around that.
But then again they are now sending unwanted spam through fax.
I'm in a no win situation, Sad

Cancel the phone :cheesy:

I hate how a number of telemarketers (Political candidates as well), completely ignore this list/law.. it's ridiculous, so the only response they get from me is a click from the phone. :cheeky:
