.net registration prices to decrease

I just posted this to my blog, but it looks like registration prices for .net might decrease under Verisign's new contract.

What do you think?
 
I don't think it will make all that much difference, except that people will be able to save on renewing a name. I don't think that we'd see a rush to get .net names if they lowered their prices.
 
I agree with your point. But I certainly won't complain if we see .net (and maybe .com) domains at a dollar or two cheaper.
