Hello,

just thought i'd post a link to a story on the SpoolCLL bug hitting windows-based servers running mysql:

http://news.zdnet.com/2100-1009_22-5553570.html?tag=nl.e589

seems like a strong pasword is enough to protect against the brute force attack the worm is using. hopefully, my post will save someone from being exploited, even if it doesn't save anyone from running windows...

:)

Thanks for the tip ;)

my pleasure...

:)

i run one instance on windows, but i'm not at risk of external attack (lab system).

does anyone know anyone who's been hit? i wonder what the personal experience has been like...
