So you got two domains, one witha pagerank of 4/5 and you got another domain with an alexa of 750k.

Two questions :

1) which one is the most valuable ?

2) which one would bring in the most traffic ?

1) Depends whos buying, just because its got good PR doesn't necessarily mean it has traffic
2) Alexa for sure

So you would buy alexa over pagerank for traffic purposes ?

no I would ask for traffic stats, but imo alexa is a more reliable measure of traffic than PR, plus PR can disappear overnight

Alexa ratings are easily inflatable and harder to detect than inflating pagerank. Also it depends upon the type of visitors. An seo site will have a higher alexa for the same number of visitors than a gardening site would, because Alexa is based on users with their toolbar installed. I'd only use PR and Alexa as indicators if other evidence does not conflict.

I wouldn't buy a domain based on those highly unreliable "estimators".

Ask for traffic stats and check backlinks manually.

HI

If you have an alexa rank of 750K that would mean to me your site gets around 200-300 visitors per day... and if your site is a PR 4 that means the SE like it some what.

Now the question is do you sell links from your site or a product or service..

If you sell links or advertising then I would think the Google PR is more important...

If you sell a product or service then both do not count...

Alexa ranking is just good to get and idea on how much traffic a sites gets

Thanks
