pop-up stating I had a new PM but then....

When I just logged-in I rec'd a pop-up box stating I had a new PM and asked me if I wanted to view it in a new window. I clicked OK but then nothing... the box went away... no new window... and no new PM in my folders.

Do I have a new PM that I lost or can no longer access?

I had the same thing. I suspect that there is workings to reinstate this feature.

It did that to me once, the next time it did it, I actually had a new PM

I also had the same experience. First was fluke and the next time I actually had a PM.
