i just put up a site last night and it is getting some good traffic out of the gate.

I updated the dns last night - and right now the www.domain.com isn't working, but the domain.com is working - anything I need to do, or just wait for the DNS to propogate?

Thanks

Add a cname for www in the forward lookup zone for that domain.

if domain.com is working, then the A record should already be pointing to the right place. in order to get www.domain.com working, you need to add a cname, or an alias.

are you using bind? microsoft?

I'm not quite sure what i'm using ..:)

When i point my domains from Moniker to my e3servers hosting accounts this all works just fine. But this is at Netsol and I have no idea what is going on - i changed my dns but the www doesn't work.

really frustrating because i launched the site on a news story and had 8,000 visits yesterday - probably would have been twice that if www was working...

e3 servers uses cpanel (apache i guess) if that matters.

I would contact support at your hosting provider and ask them. I'm not sure what your control panel looks like and what kind of control you have.
