it used to be that If a buyer makes an offer, they could not make a counter offer lower than their first offer (and the exact opposite for the buyer, you offer to sell at $1000, you couldnt counter at $2000, otherwise how is it binding).
Well guess what, now they can!

the same with the buyer. I can counter offer with a higher amount.
I am assuming this is a bug, and a very serious one at that.

example.

first offer from buyerr: $100
I counter offer $5000
they counter offer 80
I counter offer $10,000
they counter offer 60
I counter offer $20,000

(this is a live eample)

this is a serious bug, and someone should really notice it right away!!!

well in real estate as soon as a counter offer is proposed the previous offer becomes null and void - no matter how small the change in offer, so it's like starting over each time. maybe they've gone to this system?

when you got the second offer, that was lower than the first.......you should have canceled the negotiation!

of course, thats what I thought.
but for the heck of it, I thought I'll play the low baller's game and raised my offer.

this isnt how Sedo used to work up till a few days ago, for me at least.
the whole idea with their system (and all the ones I have seen so far) is that you can not as a buyer lower or as a seller increase the offer.
in fact in the past it used to give you a message saying you can not do that.
