selling subdomains

can you sell subdomains of your name? like if i had red.com, could i sell hot.red.com and really.red.com, and how would that be hosted? if my host allowed subdomain set up, could i offer hosting off the main domain?

and, i guess that puts you in the spot where you could not sell the main domain because of the other sites right?

how does that all work?

You can sell anything to anyone willing to buy

After all, us.com and others are doing just that with a private license.

I think that's a great idea if your domain is commonly used such as first or last names. You can probably sell that as a service in month to month basis so you will not have obligation to keep the service forever. Same question if you didn't renew the domain right... You shouldn't have to worry about selling it if an good offer come by... just make it clear in your TOS to avoid problems.
