I recently sold a domain but the person that bought the domain hasn't updated the whois.

He has now proceed to use a script without a licence on his website and the company that sells this script has contacted me to remove it.

Have you had any experience with this?

Just tell him to update the information & if he does not then inform the registrar since everyone is supposed to keep correct whois info.

is it a .co.uk?

cyphix I told him but nothing yet.

No, it is an .org.

Maybe contact PIR about it then

ye contacting PIR will be the best thing for u :)

.org- whois updates can take long

oooo can they? i never knew that but i guess im not much of a .org fan o.O

My .org updates take about 5 minutes! They are fast as hell!

.org whois updates are done the same way .info and .biz - very very fast (same hour !!!)

yeah... .org update very fast!

I have PMed the person twice in NP.
I will give him until Friday.

IF you are still shown as owner....and he hasn't responded to your mail.....Delete the domain :)

That will solve the problem.

Well that is the last I will do.
He has paid for the domain ok.
I will give him a few days more.

izoot I clicked on the link on your signature and got 5 windows!
And not even a list of your domains...

Thanks for pointing that out..I made some global changes
and must have missed deselecting that domain.

www.zoot.com if you click domains on bottom bar :)

Thanks again

After I told him that in two days I will contact PIR and will delete the domain, he changed the whois immediately!

Theres something to be said for being direct :)
