It amazes me that back in the mid or late nineties you could have pulled out a credit card, gone online, and for less than $1,000 anyone could have secured their financial future for life in that little space of time. I've heard that 10% of your actions generate 90% of your income, and vice versa, and a lot of the time that is true.

The question is what should everyone be doing in April 2007 that would yield the best results?

Decided against regging Wallstreet, Stocks, Bonds etc etc because the net was for everyone, and it wouldn't be right for just one person to own those names. Besides, graphics would just slow down the Internet.

The soon to be yesterday of today is the traffic names being secured in drops for like 1-2 years revenue. He who has the traffic is KING. You can always register and buy domains but ones with good converting traffic are few and far between. Esp. generic ones! The value of these will soar in the coming years as advertiser competition grows online as well as click rates and cpa payouts, just look at the click rates from a few years ago compared to now..I remember wanting to reg awesome generics back in the late 90's and thinking to myself "but I'm not in the loan industry" lol there was just no good ways to monetize traffic back then so the rewards were not nearly as great as they are now. This trend will continue in an exponential fashion and domains making you $2 or $3 a day now will possibly be making double or triple that in the years to come as more ways evolve to monetize traffic and more customizable lander solutions become available with resulting higher ctr %'s. So buy them while you still can people!
Or in a few years you will say "I remember when you could backorder domains and bid against others in the drop auctions and pay a few hundred dollars for ovt with ext domains making a few bucks per day, now it's all regulated and you have to have a domain license and there are no more drops, blah blah blah"
or something like that...just look at like 2 years ago...I saw 3 letter .com's for sale right here on DNF for a few grand (and dropping on snapnames and pool like flies daily) ...now the same ones are pulling 7-15k+ easily and resell everytime they get posted for sale. Times change fast and values will continue to increase exponentially because of the golden rule of REALESTATE which is "LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!" on the .com of course!
