I just posted a quick reply my 'booby.com' thread and it appended the quick reply to the end of my last posting.

I also tried using a regular reply and it too was appended.

That's obviously a little wierd and the time stamping is all wrong for my replies.

(test ?)

(this is a quick reply... this is weird.)

Well, it's remarkably weird.

It should specify that's what is going to happen with the textarea.

And it should, at the very least add separators within the post to show that something was appended at whatever time it was appended. In this recent instance, there was no point in me 'bumping' a sale thread that was over, but I obviously did want to post of it's conclusion. It's looks pretty stupid the way it turned out.

Yes, it's the bump hack. I will see if we can hack it to show the fact that the post is new. Something like...

this.

And maybe rename it to the 'Booby Hack' instead of the 'Bump Hack'!? Would sound a lot cooler. :-D

Per request, this is now done. Someone can test in this thread with a double post :)

Test

test #2

That's pretty good; my real suggestion is to add a separating line between each added post, so one could tell that stuff was added, not edited.

But I know how vb cn be. ;-)

For example... how many replies have I made? :)

Is this 1 reply, or many. And what times were?
If this is a sales thread with updates, it might matter.
Here, it probably does not. ;-)
