Hello,

I have a domain name, Publishing.net, that's just collecting dust by being parked. I'd like to turn it into an income-producing website but I don't know WHAT kind of site it should be (How to get published, How to publish online, writing forum, etc.).

Here is my criteria:
1. The site needs to earn money.
2. I need it to be as hands-off (for me) as possible.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

Give the people what they're already looking for. February Overture shows most people are searching for 'online publishing', 'desktop publishing', 'book publishing', etc. You could have a section on your site for the top ten topics that people are looking for, for example. If you want to be hands off, then you'd have to monetize the size with publishing type affiliate programs and/or adsense. The pages could contain articles or content relating to certain types of publishing, so once you set it up your work is done. Or you can keep adding new articles, and make sure the information stays up to date.

How about selling ebooks for real cheap?
Say, $1 - $5 per ebook along with free offers.
You can use free ebook to viral marketing.
