What's a pr7 text link on home page worth?

Anyone want to put values on these?

All web sites are top 500K at alexa, some top 300K and some top 100K

Not taking into value content, what would text links be worth on these types of sites to improve page rank

All links are on front door of home page viewable in first screen or above fold

there seems to be a demand to buy text links now based on pure PR value due to page ranking

so for purely pr purposes what are the links worth?

perhaps it depends on how many links you put in that page. the more you put, the less value it is. and depends on the site content.
business site could be alot higher value than adult site.
could range form $30-100

it seems most people who are pushing these links are just pushing them for the value of bumping others PR rankings

they aren't promoting actual traffic that the pages get

it all seems to be driven by I've got a PR7 or PR8 give me X dollars for text link

now the big difference seems to be home page placement and above or below fold (is it viewable without scrolling)

so the whole concept of views, potential CTR, content relevance, etc is throw out with these raise your PR with a text link on a PR7 or 8 site

what I was trying to find is a raw figure on base value due to purely promoting value to sites that want to raise PR fast

not all PR's are the same, some high PR sites don't get much traffic, so they won't generate many links back, while other less PR sites might get a ton of traffic

but these things aren't being discussed in most places pushing these ads

like Pelican said, it depends on content. Some or sold for +-$100 ... others for lower.

The amount you can charge is also affected by the kinds of sites you are willing to link to from your homepage. You can charge the big three - PPC - more than you can charge a mainstream site.

It is true that it really depends in large part what type of site it is.
For instance I have found a lot of game related sites with PR6/7 willing to sell text links pretty cheap but for my retail sites it is harder to find good, high PR text links even close to the same prices as the game sites.
