Very true. For me personally when I spoke of one of my site's earnings I was in fact referring to a developed website. While it currently doesn't require much effort to maintain, it's always going to require more than a domain name alone.

There's certainly a lot of difference betweena domain making $x amount of money/month with all type in traffic and a website making the same due to its current search rankings. Especially if we're talking a type in word domain that won't lose popularity any time soon.
