So I have a list of about 500 keywords and phrases. I want to be able to copy and paste them into some site's look up utility, to see if there are any domains available in the major TLDs, based exactly on those words. is there such a place? I don't want to have to manually do anything other than copy and paste.

thanks!

Also there's this desktop program, but it needs some tweaking and updating to work and pick up the new domains.

What do you mean by "some tweaking and updating to work and pick up
the new domains"?

you have to update the configuration files to current whois servers. It originally didn't have them for .inbo/biz/us. Some whois servers now block third party whois requests, so you have have to find alternates.
