Why can't I upload a different avatar?

Was I only allowed one custom avatar? I am unable to upload any file - it's compressed to meet the standards listed, but it keeps saying 'unable to save image.'.

I shouldn't have, but did - erase my initial avatar and am now unable to even re-upload that!:upset:
