Wikia.com presents Alternate (fake) History

Recently I was searching for info about a head of state of some country, in Google. I came across a very detailed Wikipedia style page from the Wikia site.

After reading some of the article I noticed that it was not based on reality. The first clue was in the title, but it does not make it clear that this is a completely user-created history: Wikia Alternate History

If you have never seen this site here is a page about the Presidency of John Kerry http://althistory.wikia.com/wiki/President_Kerry

Not sure what is the point of creating a site entirely based on fictional history. Anyone looking for information can easily be misled by the "facts" on this website.

As the site gets bigger there will be more pages showing up with higher ranking in the SE's making it harder to find reliable information.

I love it, some people have spent way too much time making things up on there. Some of the articles are really well written and detailed. I can already see the students giving reports in front of their class, and blowing their teachers' minds.
