Windows Viena - Windows new version after Windows Vista?

Did any one heard about the Windows Viena? I heard that Microsoft is going to introduce their new version of the windows after the Vista and they called it as the Viena.

Haven't even heard of this, thanks for mentioning it. All I can say is Vista blows and i'm still running XP. It says release date is June 3, 2009 so maybe they can come up with something decent and not so resource heavy by then, we'll see.

You just need a more powerful system is all :lol:

Personally, I run Vista and have minimal complaints over previous versions of Windows, including XP. If only I purchased a Mac :lol:

If I cant run an OS smoothly with 1 gig of ram I don't want it. But you're right Doug, it is about time for an upgrade. Then my XP could really haul ***.

Biggest problem with Windows: Registry system. That's what causes most of the issues and a large number of the exploits. Neither Mac or Linux have these issues.

Of course, MS will never get rid of the registry because it means not only would they have to completely retool the OS, all the software developers for Windows would have to retool their software, and NOTHING written prior to the new OS becoming available would be installable for the new OS, unless they also made an emulator for older versions of Windows (which they wouldn't release on the first round anyway, forcing people to upgrade... it's how MS works in general)
