I think I know what your talking about. Do you mean that in your address bar you see website addresses in it or they appear after you start typing a portion of it?, example:

If you type "www.Dn" in your browser, "www.dnforum.com" appears.

If this is what you mean, try following this;

In IE, go to Tools » Internet Options... » Content tab » AutoComplete... button, and take it from there.

Originally posted by cxz .....There is also a script blocking service. I guess it is a good thing. It is normally stopped. I start it, it only stays that way for 2-3 seconds. There is a script running all the time (i don't think it is the antivirus).

Confused. Exactly where in the Browser is this script blocking service you refer to? What Menu is it in?

My guess, you don't want people to see your history of sites you visited just in case its porn.

Okay, bollocks the XP geeznowhiz and get yourself http://www.popupstop.com

It does the job for you automatically, sometimes too effectively. It cleans up everything automatically once I close IE. Whenever, I use the add bar, I have to manualy retype everything. No shortcut autofills anymore.

That's only one feature that pop does for privacy, of course. It also does popup stopping. So well, it refuses Snapnames authentication box, need to switch it off before logging into my account Haahahahhhahaa.

Well, you can try popupstop for free if you want to see if it fixes your history problems.

I'm an XP power user from day one of launch, and I still can't figure out the heck what you are trying to achieve :D
