godaddy

not expensive, and seems reliable. Kind of an odd user interface at first but you get used to it. I use 2 other providers, both cost more, and godaddy responds faster when i test the sites.

I've had a dedicated with them for a couple years now and my experiences have been beyond expectations. The customer support is the best I've experienced. They include managed dedicated servers which most companies don't. They have always done what I asked in reasonable time and have never made me feel like just an IP Address. I'm very happy with them. I went through a few dedicated server providers: GoDaddy, EV1, offbrand before stopping with HostGator.

GoDaddy is cost efficient, yes but lacks a lot of development features. For instance, setting up a mysql database is a nightmare.

A full T1 is under $400 these days. You can safely put 20-30 affiliate sites on a cheap linux server, less for more intensive sites, more with low traffic sites. http traffic is not terribly bandwidth intensive, as long as you're not doing file / video sharing sites. Put 4-5 servers per T1, depending on your sites. Total control is nice too. Only downside is buying / maintaining the hardware, but the margins can be much better
