Instead of sending money directly to the family, which may be culturally insensitive (Im not sure if this is the case) how about finding a derserving charity in India that can use the funds for multiple neuro fibroma and/or myopathy related diseases/research/treatment...

Thats an excellent idea also.. It dont need to be in India it can be in any part of the world.. Mabey charity ribbons should be started again and we have one ribbon on jaik's name.

Yes, his family only needs our prayers and support. Money can never replace a lost life.
May his soul rest in peace.

Here at cochin, his friends have started raising funds for introducing an award under his name for the best painter. I think we should also start something like that here at dnf, under the name of jaikar.
Since they are doing this in cochin, perhaps our funds may be used in the same way to do something similar in Bangalore, since it was his dream to move and work there?

my condolences to his family and friends..I had no idea about Jaik's story.

He was a great guy, wish I knew him. Scorpio in India people wont accept money (as someone said its cluturally insensitive), so what I would suggest is we all send you the money and if you can get him a nice gift (like those Rajasthani folk paintings, since he used to be a painter) and send it to him on behalf of DNF members, for our love and respect for him.

Though we cant minimise their sadness we can definetly share their sorrow.
A lovely guy god bless his soul.

Many may also find it interesting that Jaik loved to buy and trade in International Domain Names. Maybe he was even a bit visionary about the future of domaining. He was also an active member at IDNF and loved to post his favorite IDNs in his signature.

Jaik was a kind soul, and a friend to all. He will be missed greatly. Jaik owned some absolutely great domains and these were his favorites:

बंगलौर.com (Banglore.com- city of 6.5 million)
this was his # 1 favorite, Jaik called Banglore the "Silicon Valley of India"
बाज़ार.com (Market.com)
डॉलर.com (Dollar.com )
कोचीन.com (Cochin.com- aka Kochi- city of 2.1 million)
цветок.net (Flower.net in Russian)
最新游戏.com (Latest Games.com in Chinese)

I had no idea that I would be this much effected by the loss of an online colleague whom I have never had the pleasure of meeting face to face. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. RIP BRAVE jaik.

For scorpio and others who are putting something together for his family, if there is anything we can do, please dont' hesitate to ask.

Guys and Gals,

I have donated and encourage all of you if possible to PM Scorpio and donate what you can so that Jaik's sisters son can have a full education.

My heart goes out to his family.

What we are thinking is we send the cheque and tell them it may be used for his sisters son education.this way our efforts will be everlasting .. and if jaik was alive he would have wanted to do the same as he loved aditya the most.

That's an amazing thought scorpio.
If DCG releases just one ribbon, everyone could buy the ribbon.
Then the collected dnf for the ribbons could be auctioned on here by DCG?
Money goes to the chosen charity in India?
Cheers,
Predator

Please dig deep guys. The boys education will be a legacy to Jaik. But it's not just about him, it's about the family. It's about lightening their burden by letting them know how meaningful and inspiring Jaiks short life was to so many people.
