As long as you list in SEDO, i guess it is consider parked...

If that is the case, then I would have quite a few to list. But I would prefer NOT to "park" the name and use their ppc service. Maybe we can get some clarification on this?

parked at Sedo means your domains are pointing to ns1.sedoparking.com and ns2.sedoparking.com
this can be confirmed when you enter a new domain...
if you list, but do not have nameservers pointed there, it is not parked.

You can use the redirection service as well.

I agree, BUT
it can be open to argument if redirectio0n is really 'parked'
I agree it is parked, but nameserver wise...

Just parked a domain there last week, and I got it sold after a few days (and I'm charged a 10% commission, $30 out of $300). I guess I will be listing (and parking) more domains there. I haven't seriously used any broker since GreatDomains reinvented itself (and excluded the low-end market); but I must say that I'm rather impressed by Sedo's improvement over the years. Now, let see how quick I would get my payment via PayPal. (The previous unbroken record is from GreatDomains who sent me a cheque via courier to Canada in just 4 days after closing.) ;)

Hi there,

"Parked" is if the name is listed in a Sedo account and pointed to our servers as mentioned above, which is by far the preferred and most effective method, or parked by URL forwarding.

Further to Joemart's question, US / UK / International customers are customers which are dealt with by our English-speaking representitives (i.e. most of the world!)

Hope you all enjoy you new super-low commission!

3 days? That is good. For my case, today is already the 4th day after "agreement reached" on Mar 1, but from what I see on the "Transaction History" page, Sedo is still waiting for payment to reach their escrow account. Don't think they will break any record. ;)

NS, I guess it depends on how fast the buyer pays them.
so far, on a large amount via wire transfer, I had to wait up to 1 week, which isnt bad.
But with paypal, it is usually 3 days, or 4 after the deal closes.

well, I guess that excludes German customers...who make up the biggest part of your customer base, not only customer-wise, but also domain-wise and revenue-wise.

I am looking forward to getting some competition in Germany anytime soon.
I am sure that will change your mind on abolishing the minimum commission everywhere except Germany...

For $300, this should be one of those small deals that uses PayPal, right? And it's been exactly a week now. :still waiting:

UPDATE: Sedo's customer service has proven to be good. Now that my domain (oh, no longer mine) has been transferred out of my hand, let's see how promptly they could be in paying me via PayPal. ;)

Probably not over the weekend, or even starting Friday afternoon, when Europe is getting late? Hmm ...

I must applaud Sedo for their prompt payment, made less than 48 hours (actually less than 45 hours) from when I got the first offer e-mail. :thumbs up: :)

That's an old thread, but just wanted to add that it excludes French customers, that's what I've been told by "Sedo France".

Well, it's not a big prob with a "2xx+" sale, but it means no mid/high XX or even 1XX sales, which is not nice !

Grégoire.
