This is nothing but profiting from public concern, that is front running.
NEtSol has made a business plan out of it, I have never done availability check on their site, but the general public will, because they think more price = better service. They do a search, they leave it without buying many do
then they go here and there do a look up again say at another registrar, domain shows up as unavailable/taken! then they come back to netsol running and do a availability check wow available! this time around, "let me hurry and grab it before someone else does" paying that out of the world price and also thinks "I am one lucky guy/girl who got the domain I want only at netsol, they are damn good".
We know this stuff because we are drowned into this
but who cares and knows in the real world very few. One must applaud their business logic and understanding of their prospective customer psychology. I am sure no domainer will ever lookup or register a domain there after knowing this. Still netsol makes millions out of this single step by the time they get to stop because of outcry or because of ICANN recommendation. This magic window is enough to balance the sheets.
