I'm nearing my launch for beards.net so I spent the day optimizing load times. I'm running on Rackspace's Cloud Sites, MaxCDN, Wordpress and using WP Super Cache plugin. I've finally got under the 1 second load time (although the website isn't filled with content yet).

Do you guys have any tips or tricks you'd like to share? I plan to put together a tutorial for beginner developers and would love some input.
I've learned:
- W3TC isn't worth the hassle. It gave me 2 hours of trouble before I abandoned it.
- Rackspace's Cloudfiles (CDN) doesn't "support" WP which renders it pretty much useless for me.
- MaxCDN is easy to use and affordable.
