Just pick up another one, the .com site gets 1000 hits a day but has no content.

If .info has a future, still a lot DNs like this one out there.

Good Luck!

Whats the name of the DN you picked up?
Was it a .net?
How do you know the .com gets 1000 hits a day?

Sorry, the DN is

freecomputergame.info

The .com site has a free counter.

freecomputergame = 0
RE:Overture

I wouldn't reg it.

That feature of Overture is currently not available.

What's happening? I can't check it now, but earlier, it was 60255 searches.

BTW If you add the 's' to it, it shows = 352
Since its less than 1,000 I wouldn't even touch the .com
Also, the com/net/org are taken.
Type in any of these crappy names:
zippier/chewiest/trickier/.com
and nose around....there may be some interesting info. to check out.
You don't have to 'buy' anything.

Just try Overture a few times,it should work.
The 60k result was for SEPARATED Keywords.
JOINED Keywords=0.
Without checking it should also show =0
for the entire name; example:
freecomputegame.com
Which means 0 type ins.
I keep fighting with enom about how DN's are forwarded, by fighting I mean, I set it 'my way', then they change it back to their way-lol.
If those don't work, try:
CrudeOilBuyer.com

Thanks John!

One thing I wonder, why people typein ????.com into goto search box? If they know search by typein, they will typein ????.com into their browser.

People are getting annoyed at all the useless crap that comes up when they do a search.
So more and more they are adding .com to their search, in the hope that it will take them to what they are looking for.
Before --you reg a DN you may want to check for a federal trademark, and the SPELLING.
If you spell it wrong,too bad, you bought it,its non returnable.
So instead of going to a SE and trying:
free online dictionaries ;
you could just type in:
dictionary.com
And you go right where you want to go.
With many systems,my cheap one included, you hit 'goto',type in 'dictionary',and hit 'enter'.
The system automatically adds 'www.' in front of the term,and '.com' after it.
Its easier and faster.
Thats why DN's like 'loans',or 'apartments', or 'jobs' are so valuable.
You get LOTS of traffic (visitors) without spending ONE PENNY on advertising.
Traffic = sales = money = :)
I'm half asleep..hope this makes sense-?
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

One more thing: There is no magical bot that separates your joined domain name words and indexes them into a search engine properly. You will have to submit your site with the keywords "free computer game" explicetely stated in order to have a chance in being indexed. If your site is mentioned somewhere in cybespace you have a better chance of it being indexed but it will bein the "joined" keyword format. Thus, the number of searches is only a proxy for your keyword selection, not your domain name per se (unless you are the .com holder and hope for typeins). I hope this helps.

IP, thank you for the info. I need to read more and think more to totally understand.

This forun is COOL!

Have a sweet night !
