I wonder how much it will go for? right now its at $1525.00

Now I will be hearing that in my head the rest of the day, thanks a lot!

The really funny thing is that about 10 minutes after I read this post that song came up on iTunes (out of about 3,000 songs).

if they were really astute they'd buy: 867.com

it's for sale

they just gotta pm the predmeister ;)

That would be pointless. For the phone number, 5308.com would be better that way you'd have 867.5309.com

I swear I saw this up for sale a couple years ago. Maybe it was on Ebay. Maybe it was a different area code. But I'm sure this was for sale before this.

Every few years a similar story comes up, usually a different area. One was about how a college kid ended up with that number, I think they even mentioned this business before.

ok you try and sell that and i'll try and sell 867.com/5309

let me know how much you get

In general domains it's obvious that 867.com would get far more than 5309.com

BUT

If someone was looking for a domain for 867-5309 then the 5309 would be of more interest to them.

It isn't - it's just one of many. :)

Edit: Unless Tommy Tutone was from NYC.

Seems like a fake winning bid. If not, someone grossly overpaid.

Albert, Don't take things too personal, nobody said they didn't believe you saw a story or blog about it...

and for the record ... I still don't believe that sale is real... I find that hard to believe!!!
