there was probably already a lot of people tracking this name. i tried to get the dropwizard slot and it was taken. I sure wouldn't even bother with any of the bidding services for a name like this

There are only 676 x 3 "two letter" domains. I'd say all the big players and lots of the small players (myself included) have been tracking them for years..

I have it as 27 Sep 2002

Doesn't look like a transfer - it's not in the root servers.. You never know though..

Judging by the updated dates of some the other names in their portfolio, this could be an example of a registrant - in this case Mnematics Incorporated - believing there's a guaranteed safety period for Netsol names of at least a month before they have to think about renewing.

If it isn't a transfer, they may have got caught short on one domain name and unfortunately for them it happens to be by far their best, a gem possibly worth well in excess of 20k.

I think it really is a drop - the others are still in the zone file.

I last scanned ad.net on 31 August, so my expiry info may be out of date.

NetSol generally won't allow transfer of an on-hold domain, so I think its not a transfer.
