Adsense CTR - what's yours?

Hey guys,

So I just made a website a week ago after being out of that scene for a few years. It's a really stupid website, but I managed to get about 100 unique visitors a day hitting it.

I put up some adsense code on it, here: (http://www.dnforum.com/f31/announcements.html) and right now I'm at 0/1000 clicks which is pretty bad.

Now, I know that the location I chose isn't great, and also the nature of that page make people not notice it. Still, I would think I'd get a few clicks with 1K impressions.

I am interested in hearing your experiences and any comments you have on my little adsense adventure.

I guess the question remains: WHY would people click on some "Ads by Google"??

Read it. It's actually informative. Or if you're lazy just check out this image: https://www.google.com/adsense/images/placement.gif and place your adsense code in a hotzone and blend it into your site design. I promise you a higher clickthrough rate this way.

That's very impressive. Can you post / pm a link? I'd love to see how those sites are set up.

In the mid-time, I shifted the ads to the center of the page, I'll report my results in a couple of days.

I wouldn't be giving links to sites after you explain any of the Adsense stats...Google will ban you for doing this

don't risk your account by discussing CTR. it's worthless! if you want to talk about it. use PM )))) ...LOL. You can disclose whatever you want to disclose
