I am looking for a pay per action/sale type affiliate program to join as an advertiser.

Please let me know if you have any site to recommend...also, let me know if you have any horror stories as well (companies to avoid).

Thank you.

No. I have a website I want to promote as an advertiser....I have used cj.com....just looking for something that is pay for performance instead of ppc.

Depends a lot on your offer and your budget. Many banner networks will test CPA offers to see how they backout on their traffic and then consider moving to CPA pricing. However, if you're looking for a more diverse set of affiliates then yes, a CPA network is where to go. I'm currently working with Copeac and Neverblue Media. It's too early to say how things are going but I have enjoyed my experiences with them as an affiliate and prefer them to some of the larger/less efficient guys like CJ and shareasale.

Linkshare and CJ are just not cutting it for me overall.

I might try some of the others mentioned here.

Good information here.

I would also say that Amazon.com's affiliate program has been historically the highest conversion for me.
