I've got a website (I think it's against the advertising rules to mention a name of a site in this forum) that is adult related, but not porn, it discusses "sex robots" (the future) and sex dolls, and the like. It's a blog, but I've barely posted in it lately. But it still brings me in 300-400 visitors a day, and a few hundred dollars a month in affiliate income. When I first started I was making around $1,000 a month and getting around 500 visits a day. I feel my affiliates are stale and with all the free porn on the net, I need to choose my affiliates carefully.

I'd like to start all over with my affiliates, picking the right ones (some tell me web cams), and then start posting more and better stories again. I'm not into the content personally, but it's obviously a money-maker if I put the effort into it and bring it up to a few thousand visits a day. I had bought the domain name in the past and just built something on it because the name is so great.

So, I'm looking for suggestions, names of consultants that really know this market and won't rip me off, or anyone here who can help for hire.

PM if you want to know the domain name.

I'd say look very closely into who your audience is.
Sex robots, for me, conjures up things like Tenga and Real Dolls.
With that said, you're also quite possibly getting a LOT of Wapanese (if not japanese) people on your site because of your content, so something like some Dating Sims or even specific products on J-list may be more appropriate.

I'm assuming you're already running Google's analytics. Good start. But you may want to get something that gives substnatially more demogaphic info to you, like Quantcast, and figure what angle to ply your readers with from that.

I suggest advertising sex dolls and sex toys, Here are the largest 4 adult sex toy companies offering affiliate programs: http://www.adultsaffiliateprograms.com/directorysextoyaffiliateprograms.html
They all have a range of mostly blowup style dolls, and a lot of other products your viewers may be interested in. These companies all pay on a commission basis.

Also wanted to add that sex toy sales are high online and close to the popularity of webcams. camaffiliates.com lists all the major webcam affiliate programs.
