Alexa Question

I have a question say you have a domain you check its alexa ranking and when it shows the domain it appears different why? does the orriginal domain have that stats?

Do you mean that their screen shot does not look like the current version of the site? That's because they don't capture the image very often. The stats should be more up-to-date than the picture.

Ok, okay - I think this happens when someone has a bunch of domains all redirecting to another domain. They just list the domain that the others redirect to.

So would the one that you type in and does not show like the example be the one getting traffic?

I think that the number represents all of the domains combined. When I see this I generally ignore the Alexa stats. There is no way to know how many domains are added together to equal this number.

If you see Alexa return a different domain then the domain you searched for, do not trust the results.

Well, some say never trust Alexa results anyway, but especially in this case.
