Another scam (or not) ?

Received the following concerning one of my domains. Isn't this one of the scams that's been going around for a bit???

SCAM ALERT!!!

I have received the same email with the same name numerous times.
It was also posted elsewhere and confirmed as a scam.

Its a scam.... have received the same stuff few weeks ago... later he tells that your asking price is ok but a appraisal is needed ... etc etc....

I am so glad you wrote. Of course, the name is still available. If you are interested in it, please feel free to make me an offer. I strongly encourage you to get an appraisal - I'm sure you are familiar with companies that do that - just pick one you trust.

If your offer is satisfactory, based on what you come up with from your own independent appraisal, then I will be happy to make a deal with you.

SCAM! I reported him to my IP as a spammer. Suggest you do the same.

The scammer uses various names signed at the end of the letter, not just Marc Miller.
They use different names all the time. I have received many with different names. Just filter them out or hit; DELETE. 8)

got one too...after I replay with the price he wrote this:

trust free or unprofessional appraisals. It can be an appraisal certificate

www.HollywoodDomains.com. It does not matter because they were recommended
to me by experienced experts.

After I receive your appraisal we'll continue negotiations.

How do you prefer to get paid: PayPal, check or wire?

I sent him a reply similar to that suggested above - that he should get his own appraisal and then we would dicker on the price. No reply - no surprise!!

Maybe you should respond to him with a low price just to see if you get a response. Like $10 and see if you can get a response that way. You can always say you left off a couple of zero's...

Here is his replay after I've told him that he can appraisal the names:

"You ask for serious money and provide no proof. I understand you, but
usually sellers provide buyers with appraisals. It's a common practice.
